Biography
Charli Savage is a conceptual fine artist, born in the UK and raised in Australia. From a young age, she found pure joy in escaping into the worlds of her favourite books, a love that sparked her passion for storytelling.
At fifteen, Charli’s experience in a school drama class opened the door to expressing stories through acting. Inspired, she dedicated herself to this path, moving to LA in her mid-20s to study at an acting school. Yet, after years of pursuing this dream, she recognised her passion for acting had waned and made the difficult decision to step away. Around this time, she discovered photography as a new creative pursuit. In mid-2018, after buying her first camera, she explored various styles until she encountered conceptual photography - a turning point that reignited her creative spark and set her on the right path.
Today, Charli’s mission is to craft visual stories through timeless art that reawakens our curiosity and invites viewers into worlds both strange and beautiful. Her surreal creations stretch the boundaries of reality, drawing viewers into the unknown. Lately, Charli has been expanding her artistic horizons by exploring new mediums, such as sculpture and painting, as ways to deepen her expression and storytelling.
Charli currently resides in Sydney, Australia, with her husband Chris, and their three cats, Damien, Atticus, and Ollie.

Artist Statement
My work exists within the space where dreams and melancholy meet, a surreal world that invites us to reconnect with the parts of ourselves long lost to time. Through painting, sculpture, and conceptual storytelling, I explore the faded innocence of childhood and the hidden worlds that lie beneath the surface of our daily lives.
My art is an invitation to step beyond the boundaries of the ordinary and enter a place where imagination can take root once again. I hope my work evokes in viewers a sense of that forgotten wonder that lingers in the corners of our imagination, a reminder that magic exists even in the most subtle details of life. Ultimately, I aim to create pieces that act as portals, offering an escape from the harsh realities of our world and a return to the simple, unburdened curiosity that lies within us all, to see the world not just as it is, but as it could be.
Through my art, I aspire to be a storyteller of the unseen, to capture those elusive emotions that live between words and thoughts. I want to create not just images but experiences - moments of connection and nostalgia, prompting viewers to carry a small piece of that magic back with them into their everyday lives.
